Cyclist fighting for life after Kongwak crash

Bass Coast Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Kongwak this morning.

Police have been told the man was found injured on Kongwak Road, near Lolands Road, about 8.20am.

It is understood the rider came off his bike and was located by a passer-by who raised the alarm.

The man from Queensland was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 37-year-old was riding a white Ridley road bike and was wearing black lycra shorts and an orange fluro top.
