DAF's Queensland Drought Assistance

New Queensland drought assistance is available to eligible primary producers across all industries. The assistance helps producers prepare their business for drought and other climate events and build business resilience.

Support includes assistance to undertake Farm Business Resilience Planning and Drought Preparedness Grants up to $50,000. A suite of no and low interest loans up to $250,000 are also available. Producers don't need to be in a drought-declared region to access the new programs.

The new Queensland drought assistance measures replace the Drought Relief Assistance Scheme (DRAS). Transport subsidies will not be available if you are drought-declared after 1 April 2022.
