Dana-Farber Cancer Institute was named one the most noteworthy companies and non-profits led by women in MA. Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, President and CEO is #7 on the 2019 Top 100 Women-Led Business in MA by the Commonwealth Institute and the Globe Magazine.
The list, created by The Commonwealth Institute -- a non-profit that supports female business leaders, examined revenue or operating budget and other variables including, number of fulltime employees in MA, workplace and management diversity and innovative projects. The list was printed in the Globe Magazine on November 10, 2019
"I'm proud to lead the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and honored to be on this list of impressive women leaders and organizations in Massachusetts," said Glimcher.
Boston Globe Magazine noted the that women featured on the list are "calling the shots for thousands of employees and billions in revenue" in Massachusetts.
This is the second year that Glimcher and Dana-Farber were on the list.
The 2019 edition of this list of power brokers includes leaders of health care companies, retail giants, construction heavyweights, financial institutions, non-profit groups and more. This is the 19th year that The Commonwealth Institute has created the list and the seventh year the Globe Magazine partnered with group.
