Dangerous driving appeal at Mackay

Forensic Crash Unit officers are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a dangerous driving incident at Mackay in January.

Around 10.30am a large white 2013 Dodge Ram utility travelling southbound attempted to overtake a B-double on the Bruce Highway south of Mackay.

Investigations indicate when the large vehicle attempted to overtake the prime mover, two vehicles travelling in a northerly direction were forced to take evasive action, to avoid a collision.

Investigators are asking the occupants in particular of the dark late model Ford Ranger dual cab utility and of the Toyota Camry sedan, also dark in colour to come forward.

The occupants of these vehicles are witnesses to this incident.
