Dangerous Drug Charges At Mackay

Mackay Tactical Crime Squad have charged two people after executing a search warrant and allegedly locating a large quantity of drugs in Mackay on 23 July.

Around 3.15pm, police executed a search warrant at a Hamlet Street address and seized a total of 164 grams of methamphetamine, which has an estimated street value of approximately $30,000.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, possessing tainted property, and offence to buy or possess S4 medicines.

He has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 15 September.

A 53-year-old man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, and possessing utensils.

He is due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 6 October.
