Darwin Area Antisocial Behaviour Patrols

Northern Territory Police have been conducting ongoing high-visibility antisocial behaviour patrols throughout the Greater Darwin Area.

Yesterday, members conducted foot and vehicle patrols around Casuarina, Karama, Malak, Moil, Parap and East Point.

As a result of the patrols:

  • 116 litres of alcohol was seized
  • 160 people were moved on
  • 9 people were taken into protective custody

Superintendent Peter Malley said, "NT Police will continue to focus on licensed premises patrols around Darwin, with emphasis on disrupting secondary supply of alcohol and antisocial behaviour.

"We are working together with other government agencies, local government and non-government entities to tackle the recent increase in antisocial behaviour."
