Darwin City Aggravated Assault: Police Seek Information

Northern Territory Police are currently investigating an aggravated assault that occurred overnight in Darwin City.

Around 10:45pm, police received reports that a man and woman had been assaulted with an edged weapon, by an offender who police believe is known to the pair, on Smith Street. The offender then fled the scene.

The man and woman received injuries and were taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

The alleged offender is described as a male of Aboriginal appearance, aged in his 20's, wearing a red shirt and dark shorts.

No arrests have been made.
