Dashcam Footage Sought in Simpson Fatal Crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for dashcam footage as they continue to investigate a fatal collision in Simpson last night.

It is understood a Suzuki camper van and a Holden Commodore collided on Lavers Hill-Cobden Road about 7.45pm.

The passenger of the Commodore, a 26-year-old Cobden man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Commodore, a 24-year-old Colac man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the camper van, a 19-year-old German national, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where he remains under police guard.

The male passenger of the camper van, a 21-year-old German national, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision and police are asking anyone driving in the area around the time of the collision to check their dashcam.
