Lesley Rowe says choosing a residential aged care home for her parents to move into "was one of the most challenging experiences our family has faced".
After months of searching for the best care for their mother and father, the family entrusted the support of Carinity - and Lesley says it was the best decision.
Her parents, Ted and Ann Ross, have been by each other's side for 63 years and have lived together at Carinity Brownesholme in Highfields for five months.
"I undertook an extensive search before choosing Brownesholme. I feel absolutely confident it was the right decision," Lesley said.
"The transition into residential living can be overwhelming, but the staff made every effort to ensure my parents felt comfortable, respected, and supported.
"From the very beginning, the team demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and genuine care. Their patience and kindness during those early weeks made an enormous difference to us all."
Lesley says Ted and Ann are feeling "truly content" living in their new home, which is located near Toowoomba.
"It is incredibly reassuring to see them not only well cared for and safe, but truly content. They are treated with dignity, warmth, and respect at all times, and it is clear that the staff genuinely care about each resident as an individual," Lesley said.
Lesley acknowledged the Carinity Brownesholme team for "creating such a warm, welcoming, and caring environment".
"Communication with our family has been consistent, thoughtful, and reassuring, which has helped build a strong sense of trust and peace of mind," Lesley said.
"Brownesholme is truly a wonderful place, and I am deeply grateful for the care and support provided every day."
Lesley submitted a five-star review of Carinity Aged Care through ProductReview, an independent Australian product ratings website where customers can share feedback about services based on their real-life experiences.
This year, Carinity was again recognised as one of the best performers in the Aged Care/Disability Support Services category of the ProductReview Awards.
It is the third straight year that Carinity has recevied a ProductReview award, with an average review score of 4.8 stars out of 5.
