Debut Crime Novel by South Australian Author at Para Hills Hub

Local South Australian author Rebecca Heath previously known for her young adult science fiction novels under alias Beck Nicholas, will be debuting her first ever adult novel at the Para Hills Community Hub on Tuesday 18 April from 6pm to 8.30pm.

City of Salisbury residents are invited to a FREE evening with Rebecca as she takes the audience on a journey through the writing process of her novel, the concept behind the story and the decision to transition from young adult novels to adult crime novels. Audience members will be treated to snippets of the book and an opportunity to ask questions.

'The Summer Party' described as 2023's most addictive beach read, is a glamourous, escapist psychological thriller set in Australia and will have readers asking for more and guessing wrong until the very end… For readers who also love authors Liane Moriarty, A.R. Torre and Adele Parks - this newest book is one not to miss.

Everyone is welcome to attend, with bookings essential.

Light refreshments will be provided and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

The upcoming author talk is part of a new series of programs being offered to the local community at libraries in the City of Salisbury. 'Conversation Corner' sessions aim to do just that - spark conversation and interest in a variety of areas including online safety, Tai Chi classes, Winter rose pruning, author talks and more, with community members welcome to provide feedback on topics and guests for future sessions.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM has welcomed the new program structure and believes it provides an opportunity for community members to connect with one another and come together to learn, discuss and explore a variety of topics in a welcoming and relaxed social setting.

"It's so important for us as a council to provide free programs and events where the community can connect with one another and Conversation Corner is the perfect opportunity for the public to try something new. I personally am looking forward to attending".
