Delegation to Indonesia to promote livestock industry

Two Northern Territory Government employees will accompany the Minister for Primary Industry and Resources, the Honourable Paul Kirby to Indonesia to promote the livestock industry in the Territory.

The delegation will also undertake a number of industry site visits to help increase understanding of current and emerging issues around the live export trade and provide continued support of the NT Government's ongoing commitment to the trade.

They will also attend the biennial Indonesia-Australia Business Council Conference to further develop the relationship between the NT Government and the Government of Indonesia.

Indonesia continues to be the NT's largest and most important live cattle export market and in 2018, Indonesia was also the Territory's largest importer of NT buffalo.

The group will return to Darwin on Tuesday November 5 2019.

The two public servants travelling are:

· Chief Executive, DPIR

· Director Agribusiness Development, DPIR

Airfares: $5,719.50
