Delivering real solutions for commuters in Cranbourne

Liberal Party Victoria

A Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will invest $87 million to upgrade Evans Road so road users in Cranbourne can get home quicker and safer.

This commitment from the Liberals and Nationals will ensure that the full duplication is completed from Hall Road, Cranbourne to the South Gippsland Highway, Lynbrook.

The upgrade will reduce congestion, improve travel times and reliability, and improve safety for all commuters in the south-east.

Shadow Minister for Transport Infrastructure, Dr Matt Bach, said this road is critically important for all locals, and it is important for us to invest in this area which has experienced significant population growth.

"Investing in this important project will mean a quicker and safer commute for families right across the south-eastern suburbs."

Liberal Candidate for Cranbourne, Jagdeep Singh, said this upgrade was important to ensure local pedestrians and road users are kept safe.

"Speaking with local residents in Cranbourne, one of their main concerns has been the condition of Evans Road and the need for its duplication."

"I am proud to be part of Matt Guy's team that will deliver this important piece of local infrastructure to ensure places like Cranbourne get their fair share of infrastructure spend."

Liberal Candidate for Narre Warren South, Annette Samuel, said only the Liberals and Nationals will come to the table and commit to this vital upgrade.

"This upgrade will not only mean safer travel but for many in the local area, less time in traffic and more time with loved ones at home."
