Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman spoke today with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, European External Action Service (EEAS) Secretary General Stefano Sannino, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz representing the OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office, and Senior Adviser in the Office of the OSCE Secretary General Allison Hart. The Deputy Secretary strongly condemned Russia's premeditated, unprovoked, and unjustified attack on Ukraine. The group expressed their steadfast support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and discussed ongoing efforts to support Ukraine. Participants also discussed coordinated efforts to impose massive costs and consequences on the Russian Federation and to urge Russia to end its unlawful invasion of Ukraine, withdraw its forces, and return to the path of diplomacy to avert further conflict.
