Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance from the public after a lounge was stolen in South Yarra earlier this month.
Investigators believe two men attended an apartment complex on Yarra Street about 6pm on Friday 6 December.
They followed a resident into the secure building and made their way over to a leather couch located in the foyer.
The pair picked the couch up, exited the building and loaded the item into a nearby white Toyota Landcruiser before getting into the vehicle and driving off.
The offenders are believed to be on their 20-30s, unshaven and were wearing high vis clothing.
Investigators have released images of two men that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
The $3000 couch is yet to be recovered.
