Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an assault in Collingwood on 13 October, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told a 27-year-old Richmond man and 30-year-old Abbotsford man were at a fast food restaurant at the corner of Smith Street and Victoria Parade when they became involved in a verbal dispute with a number of males about 12.30am.
The victims left the restaurant and were followed to the corner of Cambridge Street, where the group assaulted them and left them with minor injuries.
The males then fled the scene.
Police have released a number of images of a group of males who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
All are perceived to be of Asian appearance and aged in their late teens.
Anyone with information or who recognises the males is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
