Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances following a suspicious house fire in Deer Park this morning.
Emergency services were called to the unoccupied home on Carroll Street about 7am.
An arson chemist is expected to attend the scene later this morning.
Investigations are ongoing into the cause of the fire and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
