Detectives investigate Nerrina aggravated burglary

Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Nerrina this month, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told three men, two of whom were armed with knuckle dusters and a baseball bat, attended a property on Nerrina Road about 9.40pm on 2 November, with two forcing their way into the house.

A 57-year-old man, who was home at the time along with a 24-year-old woman, managed to wrestle the offenders from the property.

The victims were threatened, with the men proceeding to damage their vehicle, front door and garage door.

The trio fled empty-handed in what is believed to be a ute with a steel tray, toolbox and rack on the back.

It was last seen heading west along Nerrina Road.

Both the man and woman were not harmed during the incident.

Police have released descriptions of the three men in the hope someone may be able to provide information on their identities.

The man who had knuckle dusters is perceived as Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a black hoody with gold trims and tattoos along his knuckles.

The second, who was armed with the baseball bat, is also perceived as Caucasian and was wearing a blue singlet and shorts.

He wore a white bandage on his left forearm and had a tattoo on his right shoulder.

The third man had short shaved sandy-coloured hair.

He was wearing a T-shirt and carrying a black bag, similar to a medical bag, with a tube protruding from it.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
