Detectives investigate shooting in Bulleen

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Bulleen last night.

Emergency services were called to Bourke Street following reports residents heard what appeared to be gunshots on Thursday 1 August about 10.30pm.

Attending police found an injured man who it is believed was shot while in his vehicle.

The circumstances surrounding the incident, which is believed to be targeted, are unclear however investigators are looking into whether the man may have been speaking to people just prior to the incident.

Investigators are also working to determine if a burnt out car located nearby in Templestowe is connected to the shooting.
