Discovery of a second trend of mineralisation at Hualilan with 126m at 1.1 g/t Au including 71m at 1.7 g/t Au

Challenger Exploration

Highlights:

Outstanding first results from Main Manto rock saw channel sampling including (Refer Table 2):

  • 71.0m at 10.8 g/t AuEq2 - 9.2 g/t Au, 22.5 g/t Ag, 3.0% Zn in combined Zone 1 and Zone 2 including intervening lower grade mineralisation in RNNV10_04;

Zone 1:

  • 26.0m at 24.7 g/t AuEq2 - 21.2 g/t Au, 28.4 g/t Ag, 7.2% Zn in RNNV10_04 including;

  • 6.0m at 91.9 g/t AuEq2 - 89.3 g/t Au, 88.5 g/t Ag, 3.4% Zn, and

  • 5.0m at 24.5 g/t AuEq2 - 20.5g/t Au, 53.1g/t Ag, 7.5% Zn in RNNV10_03;

  • Zone 1 true width is 9 - 10 metres immediately below surface

Zone 2:

  • 17.0m at 7.1 g/t AuEq2 - 5.9 g/t Au, 45.2 g/t Ag,1.5% Zn in RNNV10_04 and;

  • 3.0m at 23.8 g/t AuEq2 - 20.9g/t Au, 92.4g/t Ag, 3.9% Zn in RNNV10_08;

  • Zone 2 true width is 7 - 8 metres located 23 metres below surface

Zone 3

  • 29m at 2.4 g/t AuEq2 - 0.8g/t Au, 22.7 g/t Ag, 2.9% Zn in RNNV10_04 and;

  • 9.0m at 6.2 g/t AuEq2 - 1.5g/t Au, 100g/t Ag, 7.2% Zn in RNNV10_06;

  • Zone 3 true with is approximately 12 metres, located 45 metres below surface

  • Rock saw cut, representative, channel sampling has identified high-grade zones that were previously untested and the results correlate well with high-grade drill intercepts down dip.

  • The program was designed to provide data for inclusion of the near surface mineralisation, originally defined by underground sampling, in a JORC resource estimate.

  • Results suggest the mineralisation is thicker than expected and that the historical selective channel sampling has missed much broader zones of near surface mineralisation.

  • This is a significant step supporting CEL's strategy to deliver a high grade shallow resource that should enable a low capex, high margin starter mining operation.

Challenger Exploration (ASX: CEL) ("CEL" the "Company") is pleased to announce first results from the underground channel sampling at the Company's Hualilan Gold project in San Juan province, Argentina.
