Northern Territory Police have arrested four people following an incident in the Darwin CBD on Sunday evening.
Senior Sergeant Joshua Cunningham said that multiple '000' calls came in around 8pm regarding a large disturbance on Mitchell St, including reports that a man was armed with a knife.
"Darwin and Casuarina general duties members attended, and with assistance from CCTV operators were able to track offenders as they fled through the city."
Four men were arrested and are expected to be charged tonight. Police also expect to make further arrests.
"This disgusting and appalling behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstance and we will endeavour to apprehend and charge all outstanding participants," said Senior Sergeant Cunningham.
