Do young people value car safety same way as older Australians?

Carzoos recently asked 899 Australians which safety feature they think is the most important when it comes to

buying a car.

The responses we received hinted at people being more interested in traditional and older forms of safety, rather

than modern technologies and features. We also noticed a relatively large discrepancy in choice of safety features

amongst different generations.

* For example, 33.5% of Gen Y drivers said airbags were the most important feature, while only 25% of

Generation Xers and 23% of Baby Boomer said the same. Overall, airbags were the number one result, with more

than 1 in 4 of those surveyed
