Drink drivers nabbed

Three drivers have booked themselves court dates after being detected drink driving overnight.

A breath testing site was set up on Pascoe Vale Road, Oak Park on Wednesday night and tested a number of drivers.

Around 9pm a 28-year-old man from Roxburgh Park underwent a breath test and provided an alleged reading on 0.160.

He is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences and driving whilst disqualified.

A 39-year-old woman from Oak Park drove into the site a short time later and returned an alleged reading of 0.192.

She had he licence immediately cancelled, car impounded and is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences.

In Newport police were called to a crash on Challis Street about 9.50pm where it is alleged a 47-year-old Newport woman crashed her car into two parked cars.

She underwent a breath test and provided an alleged reading of 0.240 and is expected to be charged on summons.
