Drive Safely in Local Roadwork Zones

Road workers are some of the most vulnerable people on our roads.
From 2016 to 2020, there were 39 people injured or killed in road crashes involving road workers in NSW.
By going too fast and not paying attention to their surroundings, drivers are putting the road workers who are making our roads safer at risk.
We've recently experienced incidences of cars speeding through our local construction zones, and with a record level of roadworks currently underway in our shire, this can compromise the safety of our crews and contractors.
When travelling through these roadworks, please make sure you slow down and drive under the designated speed limit, look out for road workers, and obey all signals from traffic controllers.
