Driver Charged After Child Hit by Car in Lalor Park

A man will face court today after a child was allegedly hit by a car in Sydney's west.

About 3.10pm yesterday, (Tuesday 30 June 2026), emergency services were called to Northcott Road, Lalor Park, after reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command responded along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated a 7-year-old boy for serious leg injuries.

He was taken to the Children's Hospital, Westmead in a stable condition.

The driver, a 19-year-old man, was uninjured.

He was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was subjected to alcohol and drug tests which returned a negative result.

The man was charged with drive manner dangerous.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 8 tomorrow, Wednesday 1 July 2026
