Driver dies after single-vehicle crash - Prestons

The driver of a car has died of injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's south-west last Friday.

About 7.00pm on Friday 15 December 2023, emergency services were called to Jedda Road, Prestons, following reports a car had collided with a power pole.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver and sole occupant of the car – a 27-year-old man - at the scene, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

About 11.40am on Friday 22 December 2023, the man died in hospital.

Police will prepare a report regarding the man's death for the information of the Coroner.
