Drivers were encouraged Saturday to avoid the Pinnacle Road and Canobolas Road areas due to unsafe conditions.
A reminder too that police are patrolling the area, and there are potential fines for any driver who drives through a road-block.
Due to extra risks posed by this weekend's weather, police asked for two local roads on the way to the mounting be closed.
The two roads closed are:
- Pinnacle Road from the corner of Canobolas Road and Shiralee Road, and
- Canobolas Road from the Canobolas Public School corner.
The roads are open for residents, but closed for other traffic.
