Residents can drop off their pesticides, herbicides, solvents, household cleaners, paint and paint related products and motor oils and fuels as well as other chemicals at the Household Chemical CleanOut event on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July.
Council is partnering with the NSW Environment Protection Authority to host the two-day event at the Suez Campbelltown Service Centre at 59 Junction Road, Leumeah from 9am to 3.30pm each day.
Residents will have to remain in their cars for contact free collection of their items and staff will wear masks and observe social distancing protocols during the event.
"This is a great opportunity for everyone to dispose of household chemicals in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, free of charge," Mayor George Brticevic said.
"We thank everyone for their patience following the postponement of the last event due to the COVID-19 health situation," Cr Brticevic said.
"The materials collected at this event will be processed and recycled, saving valuable resources and ensuring that hazardous materials are kept out of landfill," he said.
Only household quantities up to a maximum of 20 litres or 20kg can be dropped off. Commercial quantities of chemicals will not be accepted.
Gas bottles, batteries, floor care products, fluorescent tubes, pool and hobby chemcials, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers will also be accepted.
