Drug and cash seizure, Goomburrum

Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives have charged a man and seized firearms, dangerous drugs and a large sum of money following the execution of a search warrant in Goomburrum on Wednesday, October 2.

Officers executed the search warrant at an address on Booloongie Road as part of an ongoing investigation into dangerous drugs.

It will be alleged during a search of the property police located seven firearms, cannabis, methylamphetamine and almost $85,000 in cash, which police will allege were the proceeds of crime.

A 33-year-old Goomburrum man has been charged with producing dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs (over schedule), two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing utensils, seven counts of possessing weapons (firearms) and one count of possessing explosives (ammunition).

The man was remanded in custody and will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on November 4.
