Officers from Capalaba and Inala Tactical Crime Squads have charged three people during traffic patrols in Morningside and Sunnybank Hills on 21 July.
Just before 2pm, police intercepted a gold Holden Commodore sedan on Riding Road at Morningside and conducted a roadside drug test.
It will be alleged the driver, a 49-year-old Gaythorne woman, returned a positive result.
It will be further alleged a search of the vehicle located cannabis, methylamphetamine, a knife, and other drug paraphernalia.
The woman was charged with one count of drug driving and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on 7 September.
The woman was also dealt with by way of drug diversion in relation to one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, failing to properly dispose of needle and syringe, and possessing property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing drug offence.
At approximately 7:30pm, police observed a Ford Fiesta hatch bearing false registration plates on Ryhill Road, Sunnybank Hills.
The vehicle was intercepted and, during a subsequent search, officers allegedly located illegal drugs, ammunition and a weapon.
The driver, a 44-year-old Anderleigh woman, was charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of failing to properly dispose of needle and syringe, possessing a knife, possessing property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing drug offence, driving an uninsured vehicle, using a vehicle which a number plate attached was granted for another vehicle, driving unregistered and driving without a driver licence.
She is expected to face Gympie Magistrates Court on 7 August.
A 26-year-old Bald Hills man, who was a passenger, was charged with possessing explosives.
He is expected to appear at Holland Park Magistrates Court on 24 August.
