Drug charges after search warrant at Fairfield

A man will appear in court today charged with multiple drug related offences.

About 11.05am on Thursday (5 December 2019), officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command executed a search warrant at a unit in Granville Street, Fairfield.

Located at the scene were a number of prohibited drugs including methamphetamine, cannabis and LSD, as well as a taser, a suspected stolen bicycle, a NSW Ranger badge and a small amount of cash.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station before being conveyed to Liverpool Hospital for assessment.

On Friday (6 December 2019), the man was released from Hospital and taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, goods in custody, deal with proceeds of crime, organise drug premises, possess prohibited weapon and unlawfully possess prescription.

The 34-year-old was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 7 December 2019).
