Drug Charges, Darling Heights

Police have charged a 46-year-old man with multiple drug offences following the discovery of more than 8 kilograms of cannabis at a property in Darling Heights on 7 October.

An investigation by Darling Downs District Tactical Crime Squad led officers to execute a search warrant at a West Street property around 2.30pm yesterday afternoon.

On arrival officers observed the sale of drugs taking place and intercepted a 48-year-old man, charging him with one count of possessing dangerous drugs.

He was issued with a Notice To Appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 10 November.

Police will allege a further search of the property resulted in the location of 77 individual bags of cannabis totalling 8.65 kilograms hidden inside a garbage bin.

A 46-year-old Darling Heights man has been charged with three counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils and possess anything for use in the commission of a crime.

He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, October 8.
