Drugs and firearm seized after police arrest three from Bayles

The Springvale Divisional Response Unit and Critical Incident Response Team have arrested two men and a woman, with one charged with a raft of serious offences, including drug trafficking and firearm related offences.

The arrests were made on 12 July following an early morning search warrant at a residential address on Boundary Drain Road, Bayles.

A number of items were seized during the warrant, including:

- A bolt action rifle with scope

- Approximately 250 .22 calibre ammunition rounds

- A box containing approximately 30 rounds of assorted ammunition

- Small quantities of what is alleged to be methylamphetamine, GHB and cannabis

- A flick knife

- Knuckle dusters

A 27-year-old Bayles man has been charged with the unlicensed possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, trafficking a drug of dependence, possession of methylamphetamine, GHB and cannabis, possession of prohibited weapons, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He has been bailed to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates Court on 1 August.

A 25-year-old Bayles woman has been charged with the possession of methylamphetamine, GHB and Cannabis, and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

The woman appeared before the Dandenong Magistrates Court earlier this week where she received an $800 fine.

A 27-year-old Bayles man was issued with a cannabis caution at the scene and later released.
