Drugs, cash and weapons seized during warrants in Albion

Detectives from the North West Metro Regional Crime Squad have charged three people and located drugs, cash and firearms following a search warrant in the western suburbs.

Yesterday police executed warrants at a residential property in Albion, arresting three people and seizing the following items:

• Three unregistered firearms

• Commercial quantity of methylamphetamine

• Quantities of drugs including amphetamine, cannabis, heroin, GHB and assorted pharmaceutical drugs

• Over $180,000 in cash

The three people, a male aged 58-years-old and two females aged 50-years-old and 49-years-old all from Albion, were charged with a range of drug and firearms related offences, including:

• Traffick commercial quantity of methyl amphetamine,

• Possession of a traffickable quantity of unregistered firearms,

• Three counts of possess firearms

• Trafficking drug of dependence

• Possess drug of dependence

• Deal with the proceeds of crime

• Handle stolen goods

• Possess prohibited weapons

All three have been remanded and are due to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 2 December.
