A man has been charged and more than $25,000 of counterfeit cash and drugs have been seized after a search warrant in Sydney's south west.
In June 2026, officers attached to the Green Valley Regional Enforcement Squad - South West Metropolitan Region commenced an investigation the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the Sydney metropolitan area.
About 5pm yesterday (Thursday 4 June 2026), officers, with the assistance of Bankstown Region Enforcement Squad, executed a search warrant at a unit at Sydney Olympic Park.
During a search of the premises, police allegedly located and seized approximately one and a half kilograms of cocaine, 250 grams of MDMA, steroids, and almost $12,000 of cash, and more than $25,000 of counterfeit cash.
A 31-year-old man inside the unit at the time was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with
- Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period
- Supply prohibited drug more than or equal to large commercial quantity
- Supply prohibited drug more than or equal to commercial quantity
- Supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity, and
- Recklessly deal with proceeds of crime more than $5000.
He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today (Friday 5 June 2026).
