Drugs Seized At Risdon Park

A man and woman will face court after police seized drugs and weapons during a traffic stop at Risdon Park South last night.

Just before 9pm on Wednesday 9 September, police stopped a Nissan station wagon on Pelham Road. Officers had cause to search the car and allegedly located 100g of methamphetamine and about 2kg of cannabis in packages.

The driver and passenger were arrested.

A further search was conducted at their home where approximately 500g of cannabis, drug equipment, scales, and cash were located. Two prohibited swords were also seized.

A 47-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman from Rison Park were charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and possessing prohibited weapons. They were bailed to appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court on 19 October.
