DTU 2026: Knowledge, Values & Europe's Tech Future

Technical University of Denmark

The many guests, including Queen Mary, arrived at DTU Lyngby Campus and were welcomed on the red carpet by Chair of the Board of DTU Margrethe Vestager, DTU President Anders Bjarklev, Provost Christine Nellemann and President of the student organisation Polyteknisk Forening (PF), Oliver Badike Hansen.

The Queen attended the academic ceremony together with students, employees, partners, and representatives from universities and industry. The programme included award ceremonies, the commemorative lecture of the year, musical performances and speeches, marking both the year's achievements and DTU's direction for the future.

This year's musical contributions were delivered by singer and songwriter Guldimund, while the Danish communal song 'Kom, maj, du søde milde' brought the audience together under the direction of Sarah Schultz Beeck, researcher at DTU Space, and Peter Spies from the DTU Choir. The musical performances created a solemn and atmospheric setting in the sports hall at DTU Lyngby Campus.
