Perth Detectives have charged a man following an incident at a Perth backpackers on Hay Street last night, 7 September 2021.
It is alleged that around 11:05pm two men were in a communal kitchen area when one of the men stabbed the other with a knife multiple times.
A 27-year-old victim received multiple injuries and was conveyed by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.
A 34-year-old man was taken into custody nearby and has been charged with one count of Attempted Unlawfully to Kill.
He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 8 September 2021.
