Educators to Shape Future Learning at Orange Museum

Orange Council

Orange Regional Museum invites educators across the region to contribute to the development of its future education programs.

The Museum is undertaking a review and redesign of its educational offerings as it prepares for upcoming exhibitions and the introduction of new NSW syllabuses.

The Museum is seeking input from teachers and educators working in schools, early learning services, tertiary institutions, and home education environments.

Your feedback will help ensure programs are relevant, accessible, and aligned with the evolving needs of educators and students.

The Orange Regional Museum Educator Survey is now open. Complete the survey here.

Educators are encouraged to complete the survey, which will inform the development of new learning resources and experiences over the next 12 to 18 months. These programs will be designed to support the rollout of syllabus changes expected by 2027 and will reflect the themes and content of new exhibitions at the Museum.

The survey seeks to:

  • Identify the types of programs and resources that would best support teaching and learning
  • Understand barriers to participation in museum education
  • Gather feedback on recent education initiatives
  • Prioritise content and skills for future program development

We value the expertise and perspectives of our local educators and encourage all interested parties to participate before the survey closes on September 30, 2025

The Museum is also calling for expressions of interest to join its Teachers Reference Group (TRG), which will provide specific input and feedback as it continues to develop its new education programs.

The TRG will meet around once per term between Term 4 2025 and Term 1 2027. P participants will receive nominal remuneration for their involvement to acknowledge their time and expertise.
