Eight people have been charged with alleged drug offences, after police dismantled a dial-a-dealer drug syndicate on the New South Wales/ACT border.
In September 2025, the Southern Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Torlin to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs on the New South Wales and ACT Border.
Yesterday (Thursday 19 March 2026), the Southern Region Enforcement Squad, with assistance from the Southern Operational Support Group, Southern Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team, Monaro Police District, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command and ACT Policing, arrested eight people in the Queanbeyan area.
Two search warrants were executed by ACT Policing, in Harrison and O'Connor, ACT, where police allegedly seized two privately made firearms, ammunition, a gel blaster, over $70,000 cash and drugs.

About 12.30pm yesterday (Thursday 19 March 2026), officers arrested an 18-year-old man was arrested in a car park in Jerrabomberra, with police using a taser to effect his arrest.
Police allegedly seized $4,000, cannabis, 43 MDMA capsules, two mobile phones and white powder.
He was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station and charged with 19 offences including supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, prohibited drugs and custody of a knife in public place.
He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 today (Friday 20 March 2026).
About 1.50pm yesterday (Thursday 19 March 2026), officers arrested two men, aged 18 and 20, in a carpark in Queanbeyan.
Police allegedly seized $25,000 cash, 176 grams of cocaine and seized the car for forensic examination.
They were taken to Queanbeyan Police Station where the 18-year-old man was charged with take part supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial, supply prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity and possess prohibited drug.
The 20-year-old man was charged with five offences, including two counts of supply prohibited drug great than indictable and less than commercial quantity, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime over $5000 and two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.
Both were refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 today (Friday 20 March 2026).
