Elise Archer silent on new Liberal leadership as divisions become deeper

Tasmanian Labor

Attorney-General Elise Archer owes Tasmanians an explanation about whether the newly minted Rockliff Ferguson Government enjoys her full support after she was passed over for a senior leadership role.

Ms Archer has been silent since she withdrew her intention to nominate for the deputy leadership at the 11th hour once it had become clear her former running mate Michael Ferguson had done a dirty deal behind her back.

Ms Archer, now a two-time failed candidate for Deputy Leader, put her hand up for the role only to withdraw after Mr Ferguson had 'done his own numbers'.

Former Liberal Party President and Ms Archer's husband, Dale Archer, used social media to describe himself as being 'furious' watching Jeremy Rockliff's first press conference as Premier.

Ms Archer should now tell Tasmanians - does the Rockliff Ferguson Government have her full support or have the deep divisions that have come to characterise the Liberals now become even deeper?
