The City of Launceston will trial an extension to the opening hours of the Elizabeth Street multi-storey car park.
The car park will now open until 9pm Monday to Wednesday, 10pm Thursday to Saturday and from 10.30am to 8pm on Sundays.
The changes to opening hours takes effect from Thursday, October 27.
Council will undertake a review at the end of January to determine what the longer-term approach is required.
There will be no charge for entry after 6pm.
