Melbourne, AUSTRALIA, 23 February 2024 – PayPal is bringing iconic Australian supermodel, Elle Macpherson, back to the catwalk for the first time in 16 years.

Elle will strut the PayPal Runway to open the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival's premium runway series at Melbourne's historic Royal Exhibition Building on 4th March.

The PayPal Runway will showcase Australian brands that have achieved enduring global acclaim and success, akin to Elle's own impact on the international fashion industry.

Elle Macpherson said "I'm honoured to support PayPal in promoting Australian fashion globally. PayPal's platform gives creative talents and small businesses the opportunity to grow internationally by building customer trust. From personal experience, I know the challenges of taking a business global, and how valuable trusted partners are in that process."

Senior Director of Consumer at PayPal, Shane Capron, said "This year the PayPal Runway is all about celebrating the success of Australian fashion businesses and their remarkable influence on the industry, so Elle is the perfect ambassador. Not only is Elle an Australian who became one of the world's leading supermodels, she has also launched a globally successful brand. PayPal currently supports 150,000 Australian fashion businesses and we are committed to help them create even more connections with our 9m Australian customers and 380m PayPal shoppers around the world."

In partnership with PayPal, Elle will be supporting UNICEF and their critical work through a multinational fundraising campaign later this year. The campaign will support UNICEF to make a real difference in the lives of children everywhere.
