Ellenbrook fire arrest

Ellenbrook Police with the assistance of Midland Detectives have charged three girls in relation to fires in the carpark of a shopping centre located on Main Street in Ellenbrook yesterday, 12 December 2019.

It is alleged about 10.15pm, the girls set fire to a small tree on two separate island gardens within the carpark.

It is further alleged a short time later they set two further fires at a water park located on the intersection of Library Avenue and Verdant Vista.

Department Fire and Emergency Services attended the location and extinguished three fires. One fire was minor and did not require extinguishing.

The girls from Ellenbrook (two 13-year-olds and an 11-year-old), are due to appear before the Midland Children's Court on 8 January 2010 on the charge of:-

• Wilfully light or cause to be lit a fire likely to injure or damage
