An Emergency Alert message to boil water has been issued for residents in the Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council area.
Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council has advised recent rain has impacted the water treatment plant and recommends that residents boil all drinking water until further notice.
Residents are advised to advise family and friends.
