EOI for Spring Time Festival

The City of Ballarat is seeking a highly qualified creative consultancy to develop and deliver a major festival and/or series of activations that will engage with visitors and locals alike.

What are the objectives of the EOI?

The City of Ballarat is seeking a response to this EOI from highly qualified creative consultancy to develop and deliver an event and/or series of activations that will communicate the personality and identity of our City, engaging with visitors and locals alike. The event should be a powerful yet simple city-wide activity that will express the unique and authentic voice of our complex community. This activation must deliver and extend on the Creative City Strategy and the 2018 - 2028 Events Strategy obligations.

What is the target audience for this event?

The target audience is:-

· Day visitors seeking experiences

· Intrastate, particularly Melbourne, overnight stays,

· Interstate overnight stays

· Ballarat residents seeking activities to do with/without their children

· Ballarat residents seeking opportunities to experience the city

·When will the event he held?

The event will be held during spring on the off-year to the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.

Does this event replace White Night?

As we know, White Night will travel to Bendigo and Geelong over the next two years. This new event is about creating a unique 'home-grown' Ballarat event that articulates our authentic point of difference. This is supporting obligations of the Creative City Strategy, the 2018 - 2028 Events Strategy and feedback from the Ballarat is Open consultation process with the community
