Nourishing Neighbourhoods is a VicHealth-funded partnership working to strengthen the local food system across Murrindindi and Mitchell Shires. The three-year project runs from June 2025 to December 2028.
The partnership aims to improve access to fresh, affordable, nutritious and culturally appropriate food while supporting strong communities, a healthy environment and a resilient local economy.
Community members, groups and organisations involved in the local food system are invited to submit an expression of interest to participate in year two of the program, which begins on 1 July 2026.
Eligible participants include community gardens, neighbourhood houses, schools, market farmers, educators, food relief organisations and others involved in food production or distribution.
Submit your expression of interest by 7.00 pm on 13 May with Mitchell Shire.
