EOIs open for membership of Premier's Disability Advisory Council

Peter Gutwein,Premier

Madeleine Ogilvie,Minister for Disability Services

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is the strongest supporter of people who live with disability and we are committed to doing all we can to improve their lives for the future.

Expressions of interest are now open for membership of the Premier's Disability Advisory Council, seeking two new members to champion the rights and interests of people with disability in Government decision making.

Established in 2007, the Council consists of 11 community members who play a key role in monitoring the implementation of Accessible Island: Tasmania's Disability Framework for Action 2018-2021 and the development of new iterations.

The Council provides a crucial link between Tasmanians with disability and the Tasmanian Government, with members providing advice on a wide range of access and inclusion issues across the State Government.

If you are a person with disability, a carer, family member or someone with a demonstrated interest in disability issues, we encourage you to go online, view the information, and apply.
