Esperance indecent assault

Esperance Detectives are seeking information from the public to assist with their investigation into an incident that occurred in Esperance on Tuesday, 27 April 2021.

Around 6.15pm, a woman in her 20s was indecently assaulted by an unknown man in the toilet block located on The Esplanade between the Pier Hotel and the Whale Tail structure. It is alleged the man climbed from the middle cubicle into the one being used by the victim. The woman was able to get away from the man and flee.

The man is described as 30 to 40 years old, with light brown skin, a slim build, approximately 165cms tall. He was wearing dark clothing and possibly a hood or cap covering his head at the time.

Several people were in the area at the time of the incident and several vehicles drove past. Detectives urge anyone with any information regarding this matter to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
