After their triumphant return last year, the Eurobodalla Business Awards are back and bigger than ever.
With even more nominations in 2025, our judges had their work cut out.
Last year's winner for Excellence in diversity and inclusion, Jan Frikken of JJJ Oriental Store in Batemans Bay, says the awards are a valuable opportunity for small businesses to get exposure.
"Marketing your own business can be hard, so being a finalist is good publicity."
The official awards ceremony gala will take place on Saturday 14 June at the Bay Pavilions where winners will be announced. Ms. Frikken, for one, will be coming along to support the event and soak up the vibe.
"Council put in a lot of effort to make it special, so it doesn't matter if you're nominated or not. It's an opportunity to support each other and make friends."
As for the finalists themselves, Jan has some advice.
"You're all winners so keep working hard. And don't forget to prepare your speech just in case. Last year I had to make mine up on the spot!"
A huge congratulations to the 2025 finalists.
