Evade Incident Charges At Guildford

Detectives from the Rapid Apprehension Squad have charged a 35-year-old man with several offences, following an incident that occurred in Guildford on Tuesday, 4 November 2025.

About 8.55pm, police located a white Kia Sorrento station sedan travelling on Guildford Road and activated emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle.

It will be alleged the driver failed to stop and accelerated away, breaching red traffic control lights, driving directly at police vehicles, travelling at excessive speeds, and on the wrong side of the road.

A short time later, the vehicle crashed on the Tonkin Highway on-ramp. The driver allegedly attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended following a short chase.

No police vehicles or civilian vehicles were damaged as a result of the incident.

It will be further alleged the men had an amount of Methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his possession.

A 35-year-old man from Balga has been charged with:

• 1 x Driver of a vehicle failed to comply with a direction to stop

• 1 x Reckless driving to escape pursuit by police

• 1 x No authority to drive - suspended

• 1 x Endanger life, health or safety of a person

• 1 x Possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant

• 1 x Possess a Prohibited Drug (Methylamphetamine)

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 5 November 2025.
